Give a Coffee Break for Christmas!

November 29, 2012 by Amelia

Just over 1 month until Isn’t it Time for a Coffee Break? Doing life together in an all-about me kind of world releases! I’m so excited to share this with you that I can hardly stand it. It’s been an incredible journey over the past year. I look back and shake my head thinking, “Only God!”

Even though the book won’t be available until January 1, it would still make a great Christmas gift.

The book is currently available for pre-order on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and ChristianBook.com. If you would like to give the book as a Christmas gift, I would love to send you a bookmark and a handmade card that you can give to your recipient. Or if you’d like me to write a note for your friend and mail it (either to you or your friend) I’d be happy to do so. If you’d like bookmarks and/or cards, please send me an e-mail at amelia (at) ameliarhodes (dot) com by December 19.

Here are a few gift giving ideas to get your creative juices flowing:

  • Pre-order the book and gift wrap a bag of gourmet or holiday coffee with a note saying you’ve ordered the book for them. (Or wrap a box of holiday teas or hot chocolate if your recipient doesn’t like coffee!)
  • Stick a gift card to your favorite coffee shop in a Christmas card with a note saying you’ve ordered the book for them and that it will arrive in early January.
  • Give a handmade coffee cozy along with a re-usable travel mug. Include a note saying you’ve ordered the book for them. Here are some free patterns for coffee cozies: A sewn version from Skip to my Lou, a knitted version from Mom Advice, and a no-sew version from All things Heart and Home.
  • Purchase a few copies of the book for friends. Give them a card with a note inviting them to join you in January for a book club or small group discussion of the book. What a great way to start the new year – inviting friends to gather and getting to know them better over coffee and a book!

If you’re on Twitter or Facebook, I would so appreciate it if you’d help me spread the word. Here’s some statuses and tweets you could copy and paste:
