Loved her! She was very authentic, knowledgeable and biblically strong!
I would go listen to Amelia again. She was very engaging and had a great message to share that I feel was applicable to all of us women.
Excellent. Relatable, relevant. It prompted good discussion.

Speaking Topics
Amelia’s Story
Ever feel like you have to put on the show of having-it-all together? Or that if people really knew what was going on in your life that they’d run and hide? Amelia shares her life story of growing up on stage as the daughter of a magician. She reveals how in adolescence she turned to perfectionism, not allowing anyone behind the scenes of her life, eventually spiraling into anxiety and loneliness. As she learned the depth of God’s love for her, Amelia discovered the joy of living an authentic life with God and the community around her.
Walk His Way
Have you ever wondered, how would Jesus live your actual life? The one with the disrespectful kids, the demeaning boss, the distant husband, and the divisive in-laws? Through the book of 1 John, we will look at how following Jesus impacts our everyday lives, in the midst of our messes and mistakes. We’ll discover a freedom and forgiveness that extends to even our toughest situations.
Go Beyond
What could our lives look like if we were truly able to move beyond—our fear, anxiety, sin, addictions, and conflicts? Through the book of Acts we’ll look at the example of the early church of how to move beyond our struggles and divisions to life the life Jesus called us to —the life He died for. We’ll learn how to go beyond barriers and bondage to live an abundant life.
Hope and Help for Hard Times
When challenges come, what do you hope for? Who do you ask for help? This message is full of encouragement from Romans 8. Amelia shares her family’s journey through her husband’s battle with thyroid cancer and about the hope for the future and help for the present God offers his children.
Remember & Tell
You have a story to tell. You might think your story is boring or uneventful, or maybe one that no one would want to hear. But you have a story of God’s faithfulness that needs to be told. In this session we look at Psalm 78 and what and why the Israelites were instructed to Remember & Tell and how those reasons still apply to us today.
H.E.L.P. for friendships
Relationships take a lot of work! This message is filled with practical things to help you build strong friendships using Honesty, Encouragement, Love, and Prayer
Come, Unload, and Rest
Have you ever woke up, and before you ever even get out of bed felt like you were already behind or felt so overwhelmed by what the coming day held that you didn’t want to get up? Or maybe you woke up just feeling even more exhausted than when you went to bed? In this message, Amelia shares encouragement from Matthew 11:28-30 and what it means to discover true rest in Christ.
Retreats
Whether you are planning a one day multi-session retreat on your own campus, or an overnight getaway at another location, Amelia is available to lead your retreat sessions. A typical 2 session retreat includes her testimony and a session of teaching from Scripture based on a theme. A third session is typically filled with practical ideas women can take home to further their own relationship with God.
Current retreat themes include: Walk His Way (teaching from 1 John to live as Jesus lived); Go Beyond (teaching from the book of Acts to live out our faith beyond our comfort zone and follow Christ’s call to make disciples). Come, Unload, and Rest (focusing on spiritual rest); and Remember & Tell (seeing God’s work in your life and sharing your story with others). Retreats can also be customized around a theme and passage of Scripture you choose.
