T-Rex got out of bed and came into our room one morning, and asked me where his favorite blankie was. I told him, “It’s probably still in your bed.” He looked at me and said, “Probly not. I checked.”
T-Rex has been practicing saying his first and last name. One night at dinner he was going around the table saying all of our first and last names, well our names according to him – “Sissy” Lastname, “Mommy” Lastname, and “Daddy” Lastname. So I asked him what Housemate’s whole name was. He responded with “Housemate <Our Last Name>.” We started cracking up and said noo, she has a different last name – it’s “Housemate <Her Last Name>. He looked at us like we were crazy and said, “Naaaaahhhhh. It’s Housemate <Our Last Name>!!” T-Rex has adopted her!
I had promised Little Miss that if she behaved like a big girl and didn’t cry, whine or try to hide when I dropped her off at Bible Study this week I’d let her pick out some new stickers at the store. We’ve been having a bit of trouble dropping her off since the news of the move hit, so I thought a little positive reward might help this week. Housemate asked her if she knew what kind of stickers she would get and she responded, “I haven’t decided yet. I will wait and see what all they have!” So grown up for 4!!
As a result, she did a great job getting dropped off at Bible study this week. As we were heading home, I asked her what they talked about in class. She replied, “I’m not sure. It’s kind of tricky!!” (They talked about sin and obedience!!)
We were talking about the move and how the kids are going to miss Housemate.ย We told Little Miss that she could video chat with Housemate. We explained that mommy has a video camera on her computer and so does Housemate, so we could talk like we were on the phone, but see each other too. Little Miss thinks we need to practice this before we actually move and wants Housemate to go to her room with her computer and for me and Little Miss to go to her room with my computer and video chat. I’ll be sure to let you know how that goes!! LOL!
While we were walking into Bible study the other day, Little Miss noticed a Burger King cup blowing across the street.
“Look, Mama. That’s naughty.”
“Yeah, where does trash go?”
“In the garbage! Those people must not have been listening to God!!”

LOL! Yes, looking up where silly putty comes from on the map was hilarious. Hehe. So for moving away presents, add to your list silly putty! And T is going to need a Housemate bear like Little Miss has ๐

I love it when you post funny quotes and stories. ๐
Since you’re in the same Bible study as me, you might appreciate this. The other day we went out for lunch with a friend & her son after the same BSF lesson you mentioned. When we asked the boys what their story had been about, my friend’s son replied “Jesus” and my son replied “the tabernacle”. Umm – okay both were right indirectly I guess. Later that night though he made other comments, kind of in the same vein as the last one you wrote, which show me that even though he may not totally get it yet, he is thinking about what he is learning.
Also before hubby left for his “long trip”, he & Bug took a computer in our bedroom & tried video-conferencing with me in the living room. We got a couple hilarious screen captures, one of which is my current wallpaper.
