Project of the week

February 21, 2009 by Amelia

This week was interesting around here to say the least. The Narrator started his new job and went up to Michigan for a few days for orientation, so the kids and I hung out. It turned into a project week. Some planned, some unplanned. Things always break when the hubby leaves, right?

I’m headed off to a baby shower, so I think it’s safe to share this particular project, because I doubt that the recipient will be online in the next half hour. πŸ™‚ A requested, custom-made LARGE diaper bag, complete with matching changing pad all for a very special mama-to-be.

And it was even MORE amazing in person!!!!! Amelia has a true gift and uses it in the best way. I will aways cherish the little t-shirts and bag she made my daughter and the incredible “custom” curtains she made for my house! Even with her moving all the way to MI, a little bit of her will always live on in the Crone house. Thanks, Amelia!!!

You are amazing! Little girl still uses the bibs you sent us. πŸ™‚ I could definitly NOT do this while keeping a house ready to show with two little helpers around. Actually, with my latest distraction – when hubby was deployed, my sewing stuff stayed packed up the whole time! I’m itching to get something out again soon, but for now we’ve rearranged and all my sewing things are displaced. I must say though, if I ever find myself expecting again, I would love to put in my order now for one of these gorgeous bags! πŸ™‚

Bessers, glad to hear Little gal still uses the bibs! I actually made a larger pattern and T-Rex still wears them at times! And you don’t have to have another baby to carry around one of my bags πŸ™‚ They’re perfect for all the time! πŸ˜‰

Oh, you’re so funny! No, I wasn’t online then but I am now! And it’s safe to say your handmade gift ranked right at the top. It’s so precious to me, now with you leaving for SO MANY reasons! I can’t wait to use it!!! I love it and I love you for being a part of some of the BIGGEST days and events of my life! You are so awesome. Please don’t forget my marketing prowess when you move away and get that website up and running! (I know you have Ked, but I have connections!) THANK YOU MY FRIEND!!!
