Win Jewelry, help a great cause

July 17, 2012 by Amelia

I’m joining up with my friend and fellow author, Susie Finkbeiner for a a great give away today! I met Susie two years ago at a writers conference, and she became my first “writer friend.” God knew how much I’d need a friend like her to keep me going through deadlines and all those panic moments of “What in the world am I doing? Who will ever read this?” Susie and I traveled the writing road together, and in an only-God kind of way, the manuscript submission date for her first novel was the exact same as my book’s deadline. AND, her first novel,ย Paint Chips, will release the same month as my book – January 2013.

inspired by the poetry of Emily Dickson

Susie is also a talented jewelry artist. She recently started an etsy shop, called Inspired NOVELties. The jewelry in her shop is all inspired by literature.

This month, she is combining her jewelry making with her passion for helping those who have suffered from human trafficking. Half of every purchase price will go to help the Manasseh Project, a local organization dedicated to ending the sexual exploitation of young men and women in West Michigan. Through today, Susie has a give away on her blog where you can enter to win one of her pieces of jewelry. Enter her give away here.

I will also purchase and give away one piece of jewelry to a winner here on the blog! The winner chooses the piece of jewelry. Half of the purchase price will go to the Manasseh Project. The contest will run through Friday. Check out the variety of ways to enter below!

See, this is why I haven’t bought any of Susie’s stuff yet–I can’t make up my mind!! I think I’m in love with the Effie Trinket stuff though. That would probably be my pick for me. Maybe…or maybe the Wizard of Oz one…

Ach! But I did make up my mind about one thing and just ordered the peacock locket for my MIL for her birthday. =)

Oh, I snatched it from you–sorry! (Sort of, LOL.) Susie will simply have to make a second one for you. ๐Ÿ˜‰ And yes, my MIL will adore it–she even has a room in her house dubbed “the peacock room.” My hubby saw a peacock necklace on home shopping when he was flipping by the other day and mentioned we should order her one. This is even better. =)

Well, I’m honored that you ordered a necklace from me rather than Home Shopping Network. ๐Ÿ™‚

And I am shopping around for more cool peacock pendants!

I just bought Rue’s flower necklace too (my friends are so going to love me for all these gifts, LOL). Not sure if that’s an extra five or not, but in case, thought I’d mention it. ๐Ÿ˜‰
