Moms are some of the greatest people on the planet. They are also the queens of multi-tasking.
Stirring dinner on the stove while bouncing a baby on the hip and answering 5 trillion questions from a toddler.
Navigating traffic while fishing for a pacifier in the bottom of the purse and answering another 5 trillion questions from a toddler.
Listening to a child read with one ear while inspecting the other child’s math homework, all while clearing dinner off the table.
Folding laundry while reviewing notes for the next day’s big meeting.
Moms are amazing. And often exhausted.
Chicken Soup for the Soul has a newly released book that’s perfect for all the moms in your life – whether their children or teeny or taller than they are. (Mother’s Day is coming, you know!)
Chicken Soup for the Soul: The Multitasking Mom’s Survival Guide: 101 Inspiring and Amusing Stories for Mothers Who Do It All features stories about moms who’ve handled more than you can imagine! I’m honored to have my story “Why I’ll Never Be Volunteer of the Month” featured in this anthology.
To celebrate the book’s release, I’m giving away two copies! Enter to win using the widget below, and tell us in the comments, do you have a funny story or memory about a multi-tasking mom – whether it was you, your mom or a mom you observed?
I’ll go first! At the end of January, in the midst of yet another horrible winter storm, I ran to the grocery for just a few items. I came home and put the groceries away in the midst of breaking up snow-boredom-induced fights and handing out chores as a cure. The next day, I discovered two blocks of cream cheese that I had bought to make some dip as a fun treat….in the cupboard.
Enter now to win a copy of Chicken Soup for the Soul: The Multitasking Mom’s Survival Guide. I will draw the winner and announce next Monday, March 31!

Congratulations! It is nice to know we’re not alone. I feel like I’m multitasking if I remember to put a load of clothes in the washer before I tackle the dishes.
amelia says
Jennifer, I can’t tell you how many times I’ve had to re-wash a load because it sat in the washer for days!!
Jessie says
I am a terrible multi-tasker. My brain can’t handle the overload. The first thing to go around here; laundry and supper, can anyone say pizza?!
amelia says
Jessie, we totally did pizza last night for that very reason!!
